With more than three hundred million speakers worldwide, Spanish is an international language of enormous social, cultural, political and economical importance. IGA's goal is to enable students to communicate effectively on as many levels of discourse as possible, in either a professional or a recreational capacity and at the same time teach them to understand the cultures to which Spanish is closely bound. IGA offers several opportunities to people living in Guatemala as well as for those abroad who wish or need to learn, enrich, or strengthen their oral and written Spanish skills.
