What is IGA SIT all about?
The SIT TESOL Certificate is a 130-hour course which aims at providing participants with needed skills and knowledge in Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages (TESOL). This is an internationally recognized teaching certification issued by the Graduate Institute of the School for International Training (SIT). The Certificate is accredited by the New England Board of Colleges. Participants who have graduated from this program find an array of opportunities abroad in the field of ELT.
The course is offered in intensive four-week duration. Participants experience input sessions aimed at providing an experience in language teaching principles and theories. The course also provides a practice component which allows participants to apply learned principles and reflect to the teaching experience. The course curriculum was designed by the SIT faculty and reflects a humanistic and experiential approach to learning.
